Today, we will cook cherry tomatoes to our babies. Cherry tomatoes have a sweet taste that baby likes a lot!
I decided to prepare them in tomato sauce. This sauce will have a sweet taste and at the same time will be very aromatic thanks to a small new onion and a pinch of fresh basil. Great for the baby papillae!
We will cook this tomato sauce with cauliflower. It has a taste and texture that baby also likes a lot.
And finally, a touch of starchy that we often marry with tomato sauce: small pastas! Ideal for discovering a new texture in the mouth.
Here’s what you need to make this baby recipe: Cauliflower with basil tomato sauce and Alphabet pasta baby puree recipe (from 8 months, for 1 meal):
- [adinserter block="11"]
- - 10 cherry tomatoes (100g)
- - 1 Cauliflower (3,5 oz / 110g)
- - 1 little new onion (0,35 oz / 10g)
- - small pastas for baby (1 oz once cooked / 30g)
- - 1 leaf of fresh basil
- - Olive oil (1teaspoon)
Let’s start with our new onion. We quickly pass it under water, then we remove the whole green part and the root. We finely mince it.Heat a small teaspoon of olive oil in a small pan and then lightly brown our thinly sliced onion over low heat for about 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, We will prepare our cherry tomatoes. We wash them, and cut them in half. We peel them directly with the fingers (if they are ripe, the skin can be removed very easily) or after plunging them for a few seconds in boiling water to make it even easier to peel.
We place them in our frying pan with the freshly sliced minced onion, and cook gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Now our cauliflower. We wash it, and then cut it into summits: all the hard part is removed and we keep only the small summits of the cauliflower.
It now has to cook. In a pressure cooker, count 6 minutes, in a steam cooker count about 8 minutes. Go!
We now make water boil in a small saucepan, and we put our small pastas in this water. Pastas must be very cooked, easier to eat for our babies!
Once the cooking time of our tomato sauce is about 10 minutes, add the freshly cut leaf basil and mix well. We leave in our saucepan removed from heat for about 2 minutes so that the aromas of the basil are released.
We will now mix our cauliflower cooked in our small mixer. This gives a slightly semolina effect. Then add our tomato sauce and mix at low speed. We mix well, then add 25g of cooked pasta. You can also add a little cauliflower water to give the mashed potatoes more lightness.
Our baby recipe: Cauliflower with basil tomato sauce and Alphabet pasta baby puree recipe (from 8 months) is now over!
Bon appetit baby!
