For this 3rd Christmas recipe for baby, I wanted to cook lychees. I love lychees and it is clearly the fruit, with the clementine, that reminds me of Christmas. Sweet memories of childhood! So I wanted to find those Christmas souvenirs in my baby’s Christmas recipe.
It’s also the mango season, so why not try a mix of both. These two fruits bring plenty of vitamins and baby should love them!
I have also added a touch of acidity with a little lemon juice. And for the detox! 😉
Honestly, I loved this baby fruit puree… thankfully I only tasted to leave it to my daughter otherwise she would not have had anything for her Christmas snack! ^^
We can serve this baby puree during baby’s snack or for a dessert after its puree for example, if he eats its dairy at another time of the day.
Here’s what you need to make this 3rd Baby Christmas recipe : Baby Christmas recipe : Mango, lychee and lemon baby puree recipe (from 6 months. I got 12 oz of baby puree with these quantities):
- [adinserter block="11"]
- - 1 mango (310g)
- - 15 lychees (130g)
- - 1 lemon (10ml)
- - water
- - 1 strainer
- - 1 pressure cooker / or 1 steam cooker
- - 1 blender
We’ll start with our mango. It is washed and peeled. To peel it, I had already explained a simple and easy technique with a glass for the recipe Kiwi, mango and banana baby puree (from 8 months). Do not hesitate to check!
You can also use a good vegetable peeler (like what I did for this recipe). We peel our mango, we remove the core and cut our mango into several pieces.
We place it in our steam basket.
We now prepare our lychees.
We dissect 15 lychees. It is a rather long stage, we take care to remove all the skin on each lychee and leave no residue.
We will now remove the core of each lychee. It is the second long stage, but the last one, I promise!
We add our lychees in the steam basket and the cooking will start. In a pressure cooker, count 2 minutes, in a steam cooker, count 4 to 5 minutes. Go!
We will now prepare our lemon.
We cut a quarter and press it to obtain about 0,3 to 0,5 fl oz of lemon juice. Do not hesitate to adapt according to your taste but think also that it is your baby who is supposed to eat this little Christmas baby puree 😉
When our fruits are cooked, we place them in our blender, and add our lemon juice freshly pressed. We blend!
You will see that normally there are some residues surrounding the lychees. I prefer pass the baby puree through a strainer so that it is smooth and creamy.
Our 3rd Baby Christmas recipe : Mango, lychee and lemon baby puree recipe (from 6 months) is now over!
Bon appetit baby!
